Went to the Florida Theater to see Arlo Guthrie tonight. Was a really fun show.
Arlo is one of those last stoners of the 60s music scene. His most favorite piece was “Alice’s Restaurant”, and this was the 50th anniversary of the tour. His father was famous folk singer Woody Guthrie who wrote “This Land is Your Land”.
The energies he brought with him were powerful and fun. Even as everything I am doing is up in the air as I am waiting for my Dad to pass, this was a high note of fun amid all the gloom and uncertainty.
