There were a lot of people claiming that the Mayan calendar was wrong, and that the world would end on May 21st, 2011.  And this was based on two biblical prophesies surrounding the rain and Noah's ark.  Well, this housing development believed it and they were closing the pool for this event.  Heaven forbid anyone should be in the pool when the world ends.  And to top it all off, based on the phone number, the service company for the development has a devilish connection.

Taken from the internet, these are the proofs about the world ending.  (If you are reading this, obviously it did not happen.)

The first proof is based on Genesis 7:4, when God said to Noah: "Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."

When God referred to seven days, he meant both seven days and seven thousand years, because "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." The flood occurred in 4990 BC. Seven thousand years later is 2011.
