Hi.
Welcome. My name is Brian Dean,
and I am a nationally certified, licensed massage therapist, Reiki master, and a minister of the Church of Divinity based in Oquossoc Maine.
I have now been practicing and teaching Reiki for several years.
I
was drawn to Reiki through other than ordinary means. Several years ago, a friend started teaching me about energy,
meditation, and crystals. I learned
how to do things through a meditative state (moving energies, adjusting energy
levels in crystals, drawing energy from the universe, astral projection). With
each lesson I learned, I grew stronger and more proficient.
On one occasion (before I had learned Reiki), a Reiki master referred to
me as an energy master and asked me to do an energy cleansing.
Although I do not claim to be an energy master, I did the requested
cleansing.
Over
the years, I have learned from several teachers and as many students.
One day I was fortunate to meet a Reiki practitioner from New York.
She was the one that introduced me to Reiki as a healing art.
She told me about the things that it could do, and showed me how it could
help people. She was not a master
and therefore could not teach, but the knowledge that it existed was enough to
compel me to look for an instructor.
Upon
moving to Florida, I was lucky enough to stumble upon an instructor who taught
me the art of Reiki. When I became
a master instructor and felt confident enough to teach, I contacted my friend
in New York. She flew down and took
levels one through three from me at no charge, thus earning her masters.
I felt that it was a way of thanking her for introducing me to the art in
the first place.
Ever
since learning about energy I have been drawn toward healing, and have learned
what I can to help the healing processes that I use. Aa a licensed massage therapist, I have learned massage is a
nice companion to Reiki. I continue
to learn and continue to grow. I
find Reiki to be the friendliest of the energy healing methods that I have seen.
I
do healings when I am needed, yet I keep my price affordable.
I will never turn someone away for monetary reasons.
I have performed healings on people with problems ranging from a
headache, to cancer.
I
teach for several reasons. One is
that I enjoy teaching and sharing the knowledge of Reiki with others.
Another is my belief that with more people able to do healing, more
healing will be available for everyone.
And
lastly, I like to help people. Teaching
allows me to help people help others.
I
try to keep my price low enough to make it affordable for anyone who wants the
training. I don’t cut training
time short, nor do I rush anyone through classes.
I try to give whatever effort is necessary to make sure that my students
learn the material presented. The
times I list on the class descriptions are not written in stone.
I provide whatever time is needed.
I
also teach basic energy with my Reiki instruction because I feel that the
knowledge of these techniques will help a practitioner in their practice.
I teach only what I practice myself, and I practice what I teach.
