I wonder, what would happen if I held a Reiki share, and nobody came? Well, that pretty much happened today. And guess what? Magic still happened.

I initially had a Reiki share scheduled for the 28th of last month. I know of seven people that had said they would be there. Well, when my father in law went into the hospital, and the word we got was that it didn't look good, I postponed the share as I didn't know whether I would be in town or not. At the offset, I expected to be heading out within 48 hours.

As things turned out, my father in law is doing much better, and is at home. And I rescheduled the share for today, giving people three weeks notice.

As time got closer, I was getting concerned as I had not heard one way or another from people I had invited. After sending out more e-mails, I started getting mail back telling me that it was a bad day for too many people. When I had the final total, it came down to three people, one of whom could only stay for a little as she had to go to a class in mediumship. So, I was expecting Christo (from Daytona - about 90 miles south of here), and Sondra (my massage teacher) and Helen. I was not sure if Dee would make it in from Gainesville. She had not declined nor confirmed.

As things worked out, the people Dee was coming with were fighting illness, so she did not come. Sondra was very ill, and called about an hour before start time to let me know she couldn't make it. It was too late then to call Christo to cancel as he had at least a 90-minute drive. So, when we started, there were only three of us.

I figured we'd work on Helen first as she had to leave. Next we worked on Christo. So, we got two healings done, and then Helen headed off for her class. Now, I really didn't want to send Christo home, so I came up with an idea.

Christo had been asking about a Reiki 2 class for a bit now, and we were trying to set one up. Now, since I teach group healing as part of Reiki 2, I had a problem. Then I though about it. Christo had made the first share, where we had seven people. He got introduced to group healing on a large basis. He had worked with me on one for Helen (a group can be just two people working on one), so I felt he had already had a good introduction to group healing.

We had also done a healing chain at the first share since Dee had never seen one. Christo got the rare opportunity to be part of a healing chain of seven people. Usually when I do this, we only have three or four. It blew his socks off. The key is though, that he got the experience, which us taught in my Reiki 2 classes. So, I figured, if we used my wife as a victim, I could teach him the rest of what he needed to know, and certify him.

So it was a nice, fun day. Christo is a physicist by profession. Looking at that and seeing that he does Reiki makes one wonder. We had some neat exchanges of information and ideas. He talked physics, and I talked energy. We found common ground in frequencies, or vibrations. I learned that all too much of physics is theories and guesswork. They prove things mathematically, but that does not mean they are correct. Physics has now proven that there are 10 dimensions. Interesting. I read where there are 10 dimensions and 10 levels of lightbody. As the books said, physics is just starting to discover the true realm. Christo could be a very good link between the scientific, and the ethereal.

So, what could have been an empty day had purpose. And when I think about it enough, that probably was the purpose that everyone else cancelled, so that Christo could take level 2. Isn't it neat how things work the way they are supposed to all along?
