We had a very interesting psychic fair today. I was there to do massage, but all I seemed to do was Reiki.
This was the first fair since Kay has been back from Maine, and was set up pretty hastily. It turned out to be a very slow day. I sort of suspected that it might being the weekend before Thanksgiving. I suspect that next month’s will be just as bad being two weeks before Christmas. For the hours of the fair itself, Kay had only seven customers. Two others came in while we were closing up.
Carol had come to take care of the door, and registering people. Sue had come to do Reiki. Carol is also a Reiki master, but out of practice. As it turned out, I was the one doing all the Reiki.
A lady and her daughter came in for readings. We couldn’t interest them in anything else, but while the daughter was getting a reading, her mom asked about Reiki. We answered her questions as they came. I had plenty of literature there (all new stuff to promote my business), which explained a lot. While we were answering questions, I scanned the woman. I looked at her and asked her which hurt more, her hands, her shoulder, or her knee. She looked surprised, and told me her knee did. She had had her legs crossed with the bad leg forward, and it had been screaming at me for help. Without asking which one was the problem, I went to the bad knee and started to work. She was very astonished that I knew which one.
Now, keep in mind I had not seen her limping, or noticed anything else that might have said what her problems were. Or if I did notice them, they were subconscious. I felt her hands might have arthritis, but I didn’t ask. At any rate, I worked on her knee for a few minutes, and when I was done, she didn’t feel any pain. She walked a little, and still didn’t feel any. She was very surprised. When she was having her reading, I sight scanned the daughter, and told her what her problems were. I was right again. The energies were just right .
Meanwhile, Carol wanted a healing from me (not massage) while Sue had a reading. She got a good thorough healing. She felt much better afterward.
The next couple to come in through the door were again a mother and daughter. We again offered our services, but the mother had just received a massage the day before. They both asked questions about Reiki. The daughter had said that she had experienced Reiki during a massage.
The mother went for her reading. While we were sitting there talking, I noticed the daughter massaging her hands. I got up and got down next to her and asked if I could help. I massaged her hands and then applied Reiki. She was feeling batter. At that point, her mother came out, and she went in for her reading.
While the daughter was getting a reading, the mother laid down for a Reiki healing. For some reason, she reminded Sue of her sister, which brought back sad memories. She decided she couldn’t help with the healing. Carol and I worked on her until Carol had to take care of others. I finished up and did some massage as I felt she needed it. She was very happy, and was feeling very good. When her daughter came out, the mother told her that she had to try this.
She said ok, and got up on the table. I scanned her and told her what I found (keep in mind I did almost no hand scanning ). I then went to see what chakras were blocked. I found her third eye (insight) blocked, cleared it, and then searched finding her second chakra (emotions) blocked. As I cleared it, I asked if she was having emotional problems. She admitted to having just broken up with someone, and was dealing with a lot of guilt. She told me that she had been avoiding massage or Reiki, or any healing because she was concerned about emotional releases.
I did a full Reiki session on her. While I was working with the energy, she had problems with her legs and continued to move them. This is very similar to what I go through when I get a healing or massage. I immediately knew what to do, and went down and pulled on both ankles and then flexed her feet. This, at least temporarily, solved problem. She pulled in a lot of energy. I finished on the front site, and then turned her over and worked on the back. After having done the front side, there wasn't as much energy needed on that side.
When I was finished, I did some massage because I just felt she was so desperately in need of that. I worked her back and worked on her legs, and remembered that I'd seen a problem around her right shoulder blade. I worked there and then worked the other shoulder blade just even things out. When I was done, she felt much better and got off the table, and headed to the bathroom. I think that maybe she was having that emotional release she had been talking about, and wanted to have it in private.
My last customer for the day was Sue, who was having problems with her back. When I looked at it I could see her spine, and I could see energy coming out from each side of it. She told me that she had arthritis in her back and that's what I was seeing. So, I worked on her for about 40 minutes. She felt much, much better after having the bodywork. And even though it had was only a half-hour massage, she was then my first paying massage customer.
So, what started out in as slow day proved to be rather interesting. Even though I had been there to do massage, and didn't do much massage, I still did a lot of healing. And that's what counts, right?
