The last couple of nights, we learned about craniosacral massage. Now, even though this is called massage, it is really all energy work.

We each had a subject lay on the table face up, and then put our hands on their head in a certain position. I could instantly feel energies moving around. It moved from side to side, and up and down, and then down and back. It was neat.

What I learned we were feeling was the sinovial fluid, which moves from the skull to the base of the spine and back. Next, we put a hand under the sacrum (lower part of the back, top part of the butt). Keep in mind that the person we were working on was lying face up on a massage table. The weight of the person was putting my hand to sleep. Darrell told us this was better. Thinking about it, the blood leaves your hand and it goes to sleep. This makes it very sensitive. It made it easier to feel the fluid moving. I could feel it come in to the lower part of the spine, and then leave.

Next, we had one person at the head, and one under the sacrum. Since the rhythm is a slow thing, we were able to tell the other when the fluid was on its way to them. This is the body’s normal cycle. Darrell said that sometimes a person can be so messed up that this rhythm is off. If the basic pulse of the body is off, everything else is going to be. Neat huh?

All in all, it was an interesting couple of classes.
